I wanted a way to carry some stuff on the bike (without having to wear a backpack or strap anything to the rear seat). I knew that I did not want full saddlebags, and I’m not a huge fan of the way the left side swing arm bags look. I also did not want anything that required relocating the left side license plate mount or the rear turn signals. Basically, that meant my options were somewhat limited.
I searched around for a bit and found a right side solo bag from Bad&G Customs. The bag is made of black cowhide and mounted quickly and easily with a few leather straps. It also appears to be of high quality. Though, some time on the bike and in the weather will be the ultimate deciding factor.
The bag lists at $159.95, and I spent the few extra dollars to add a black coated buckle and an extra inch of thickness. I should have also added the quick release on the buckle, but somehow my eyes glossed over that option during the checkout process. But no big deal on the quick release really.
Anyway, this bag is just a small bit of progress towards making this Iron mine. Lots more changes and upgrade to come as time and money permits.
