Current Lineup: April 2019

I made some changes compared to what I had been using. I switched from Android to iOS, which marks the first time I’ve used an iPhone as my daily driver since the iPhone 4s. This will likely inspire some other changes in the coming months. But for now — this is what I’m carrying and using on a daily basis.

  • iPhone Xr with T-Mobile
  • iPad Mini 4
  • Fitbit Versa (will likely swap for an Apple Watch)
  • Pixel Buds (these work well with iOS, but I’ll likely replace them with Apple AirPods)
  • Recycled Firefighter (Front Pocket Slim) Wallet
  • Recycled Firefighter Nomex Handkerchief

Not pictured is my Kindle Paperwhite, or my cameras, which include a Nikon D3400, GoPro Hero 5 Black and DJI Spark.

Fitbit One to Versa: Fitbit finally got me to upgrade

I’ve been wearing a Fitbit since January 2013, and I’ve been wearing a smartwatch since the original Pebble was released. But it wasn’t until the newly released Fitbit Versa that I finally felt the need to merge my activity tracking and smartwatch.

The Versa has been on my wrist for a few days now, and while there are a few things I am not fully sold on, I have to say — it seems like a pretty good watch.
